We introduce to you, for the first time, the launching of the Serair SAWA Cycling Team. Please, continue reading….
This new Serair SAWA Cycling Team is a new Girls’ Team initiated by fans and volunteers for an aim to empower Eritrean Girls to continue being victorious in cycling.
This team initially started with 6 teenage girls (age 16-18) and we aspire to expand to a position where our girls continue to dominate the continental and eventually international competitions, to assure our girls don’t fall behind from their male counterparts in this sport, and to promote them from mountain-bike competitions to first division competitions.
We are also preparing to inflate the number of our girl competitors, and to make their numbers representative of all ethnic groups of Eritrea.
We will keep you family to this team and continue to update you with upcoming developments.
The name Serair SAWA means “Sawa’s Birds” in Tigre language, one of the 9 languages in Eritrea. And at this time we LOVE to invite you to be fans of this TEAM, and continue to show us your unwavering SUPPORT.
